The upwardly mobile phone giants are responding to U.S. cell phone user's increased likelihood in securing content from sources other than their A-T-T.

"Now smart shoppers can personalize their cell with Ringtone. No one has to be content with all that bland (stuff), you can have real music instead," supposedly says an industry expert, whose cell currently sounds a clip of a classic song.

A few current genertation cellular phones, so the rumor mill has it, already have MP3 players so individuals can head out with some of thier favorite songs from thier collection with them. A-T-T did not start with Ringtone. Quite a few individuals who are very knowledgeable on the topic would indicate the following, Subscribers will be able to synch their cell phones with their PCs and fill up, or "sideload," the phones with Ringtone.

For many, working for industry leaders now days is all fun and games. Very lucky employee of A-T-T spends his days downloading the Ringtone onto a cell phone before the Ringtone become available to the general public. He makes sure the songs play right, don't have any programming glitches, and won't malfunction if there's an incoming call.

For the established groups in the industry people and content and equipment providers this creates a whole new world of challenges and opportunities.. For consumers, Ringtone mean new uses uses for their A-T-T and the continued development of their A-T-T as more than Ringtone.
