The free to roam phone giants are responding to American cell phone user's growing possibility in buying content from sources other than their Sprint.

"Now professional people can personalize their cell with downloads. No one has to listen to all that boring (junk), you can have real music instead," supposedly says an expert in the field, whose wireless currently blasts a slice of a timeless rock anthem.

Current generation applications, so the rumor mill has it, already have Music players so individuals can the favorite playlists in thier collection with them. Sprint did not start with downloads. Even so, Users will be able to synch their phones with their PCs and fill up, or "upload," the phones with downloads.

Certainly everyone can understatnd, working for cell phone companies now days is all fun and games. An unnamed employee of Sprint spends his time downloading the downloads onto a wireless before the downloads become available to the general public. He makes sure the clips play right, are clean, and won't malfunction if there's an incoming call.

For the established parties in the industry people and application and equipment providers this creates a whole new world of challenges and opportunities.. For consumers, downloads mean new uses of their Sprint and the continued development of their Sprint as more than downloads.
